More than four years in the making, the Harbor Center project reflects the time, dedication, creativity, and collaboration of hundreds of community members who have helped shape the design and vision through surveys, design workshops, focus groups, and volunteer task force. Guided by the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation with support from key organizations, dedicated partners and community leaders, the community plan received formal permit approval on September 19, 2025 — marking a major step toward bringing the Harbor Center to life.
GGHF leads the community team, vision, capital campaign, and long-term stewardship of the Harbor Center — championing a community-driven legacy of lasting public benefit.

Design, Engineering & Construction Team
Driven by deep local roots, Rush Construction has provided all pre-construction planning and related services for the project pro bono — a true reflection of their commitment to community.
Founded in 1994, by Gig Harbor-based architect Bruce McKean, Helix Design Group's leadership has guided the architectural design and plan permitting process with, collaboration, creativity and care.
Gig Harbor–based Contour Engineering has provided civil engineering expertise and site planning services to ensure a strong foundation for the project.
